CAMPS  

Easter Seals has three campsites: Camp Eagle Lake near Susanville, Cloverleaf Ranch in Santa Rosa and Camp Harmon near Boulder Creek.

Easter Seals is also holding respite camps at both Camp Harmon and Cloverleaf Ranch again this year.  The sessions run at Camp Harmon

Spring 2002 dates: April 5-7 and May 3-5. Both dates are for all ages.

At Cloverleaf a respite camp for all ages will be held:

Spring 2002 dates: April 19-21 and May 17-19. Both dates are for all ages.

Respite weekends are $242.00. Call the Camp Registrar at (831) 684-2380 to register for these weekend camps.  

Christian Berets is located in the Sierras. They offer several camp sessions for adults, a camp for adults with physical disabilities, a camp for youth (ages 5-17) and one camp for youth with learning disabilities (Ages 8-25). This camp is popular and usually has a waiting list. (209) 524-7993. (www.christianberets.org)  

Westminster Woods is in Occidental and provides a Friendship Camp for a week. They have opportunities for camper ships.  Call the Camp Registrar for more information. This camp is for adults aged 18-75 years.  (707) 874-2426.  

Camp Lotsafun is a camp for children and adults with mental retardation, ages 7 years and older. They will also have had a second camp that is designed specifically for children with autism, pervasive developmental disorders or attention deficit-hyperactive disorder. This camp is open to all children ages 7 to 17 and will be located at Camp Ronald MacDonald at Eagle Lake , California . Enchanted Hills Camp is in Napa and has sessions for children, adults and seniors who are blind or visually impaired.  The Rose Resnick Lighthouse will sponsor any legally blind camper under the age of 20 whom is unable to find sponsorship through the Regional Center .  For adults, (over 21) camperships are available for the Alumni Week and the Special Needs Session. Camping Unlimited ( Camp Krem ) has three different camps to choose from.  Sessions for each of the camps run simultaneously. The Main Camp is near Boulder Creek in the Santa Cruz Mountains .  They also offer Outdoor Camp for those who would like to experience outdoor camping while remaining on Camp Krem property.  Lastly, they offer a Travel Camp that features areas like the Monterey Peninsula , Central California , Lake Tahoe and Southern California . Camp Costanoan is located in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains in Stevens Creek Park . They serve children and adults with developmental disabilities.(408) 243-7861(www.camp.viaservices.org)  

Northern California Junior Sports Camp is held at San Jose State University and serves children ages 5-18 years.  This is a wheelchair sports camp, but does accept persons with other physical disabilities. (408) 267-0200  

Camp Rubber Soul is a camp for 5-18 year olds in the Mendocino area.  It is an integrated camp, so please call the camp to discuss the referral.  (707) 937-0722  

Lutheran Outdoor Ministries/Mt.Cross is an integrated camp for ages 16 years and up. This camp is called Special Friends, (formerly known as Mainstreamers). There is a possibility of camper ships being available – call the Mt. Cross office directly. (831) 336-5179 (www.mtcross.org)

In addition to the vendored camps, here are some other options for recreation that may suit your clients/family needs. Many of these programs run all year, some are seasonal. Many of these services are for both children and adults.
